We are from out of town, so she did go to many extra steps to help let in contractors, and other professionals during and after our transaction. We gave Michele an impossible timeline in which to sell our home as we were moving across the country. She told us it would not be a problem and got to work. She sold our house almost immediately and we closed within our exact time frame. We met Michele Rennie a few years ago as she was assisting us in looking at a house. Our plan was to move to Walla Walla and we'd stayed in touch with her over two years answering my emails promptly each time I'd asked advice on houses. She was our eyes and ears in town. We again asked for her assistance in reviewing 8 houses while we were in town. She scheduled all of the appointments and was very patient while I went through each house with a magnifying glass. She gave us a lot of historical details on each house, the neighborhoods and what would work well for us. She was right in all aspects. We found the house of our dreams and she put in the offer for us. She worked well negotiating with the other real estate agent, and all of the other contacts including the people at Baker Boyer, the escrow company, she shared an outstanding inspector from Blue Valley, sewer inspection, and others. She also gave us references for our yard and maintenance (who is outstanding!). Michele is very knowledgeable in the rules and regulations for all of the real estate matters. We were very happy with her advice and guidance as we are not locals. She made the transaction go very smoothly, efficiently and made it easy on us. Even at the last minute when I changed the naming for the deed. Michele is very professional, polite, friendly, easy to be with, knowledgeable, an excellent planner, scheduler, communicator, and has outstanding skills and abilities. I am a particularly detail-oriented person and probably over-communicate, but she was very patient and was very easy to work with, understanding, and fun to be around. Her planning and timing was perfect as we went through the process, flights in and out of Walla Walla, even down to the closing and recording with escrow, getting us the keys to the house, because the new bed arrived one hour later! My husband and I hired Michele Rennie when we were planning to move to Walla Walla Washington. Michele listened to what my husband and I were looking for as we were not sure if we wanted to purchase an existing home, or land to build our home. She understood what we were looking for and what was important to us in our new home quest. She showed us several homes that were both in our price range and similar to our taste. Then she showed us several lots with potential to build our home. Again, she understood what we were looking for and we found a lot we both fell in love with, to build our dream home. The process was seamless. Michele knew exactly what we needed to do, introduced us to the right people, and we closed on time and with ease. She was able to answer all of our questions and her knowledge of the area is impeccable. Michele was readily available and the paperwork was completed timely and efficiently. She was our advocate throughout the entire process. Additionally, we were in need of a rental home in the area while our home is being built. Michele put us in touch with someone who could help us with that, however, it was Michele who actually found us a beautiful brand new home to rent that fit our needs perfectly, in fact beyond our expectations . Michele is the consummate professional and does not stop working for her clients until the job is totally complete. She is enthusiastic, personable, and energetic. Michele was magnificent for us from start to finish in our purchase of a home in Walla Walla. My wife and I were moving from Chicago, and our purchase of a Walla Walla home was contingent on the sale of our Chicago condo.
From the first time I contacted Michele, when I came to Walla Walla for a weekend and decided impromptu to try to see a couple of properties, Michele was immediately responsive. She took me to several properties and used that to gain a better sense of what my wife and I were looking for. When I returned to Chicago, she sent us regular updates of new listings, and as we refined our sense of what we wanted, she adjusted what she was sending.
Michele was fabulous at guiding us through the process of making an offer and advising us so that our offer was the one accepted from among several offers. She gave us excellent advice and a clear sense of the process and timelines as we moved through inspections, requests based on inspections, counter proposals, and so on. She gave us expert choices for things such as a pool inspector and environmental inspector where would have been taking a stab in the dark as far as selecting our own.
Because of Michele, the whole process on this end moved much more smoothly on this end than our sale did on the Chicago end--and here in Walla Walla we always knew exactly where we stood in the process (as in how many days we had to respond or how many the seller had to respond). Everything was much clearer and less stressful on the Walla Walla end, and we attribute that to her clear communication.
Michele was also great about communicating with others: the sellers' realtor, the bank's loan officer, the inspectors, and anyone else who needed to be communicated with. And then she did a great job of relaying information back to us. So we were freed from having to do all that ourselves but at the same time she kept us apprised of everything we needed to know.
In the end, we have the house we wanted and Michele made it all run smoothly. Then, as an extra bonus, we walked in to our new home to find a welcoming bottle of celebratory champagne and a warm congratulatory note from Michele! She has also followed through with us to make sure that everything is okay and that we are settling in well.
From first contact to now, Michele has been the consummate professional and has taken care of our needs at every step. We recommend her whole-heartedly! 12/15/2015
